Questions about fees
The things people usually ask.
What could change the fee?
If a matter turns out to be more involved than it looked, for example a defective title, an unregistered property or a disputed estate, we’ll tell you before doing any extra work and agree the change in writing.
When do I pay?
For a sale or purchase, on completion, from the money we hold for you. For wills and LPAs, when you sign. Probate fees are paid from the estate rather than your own pocket.
Is the first call really free?
Yes. Twenty minutes on the phone to understand what you need and tell you what it’s likely to cost, with no obligation.
Do you do legal aid work?
No. If you might qualify for legal aid, we’ll tell you and suggest how to find a firm that offers it.
